Razorfen Kraul

Razorfen Kraul is the quilboar's warren in the southern Barrens, a maze of giant thorn vines that grew where the demigod Agamaggan fell. Charlga Razorflank, the Crone of the Kraul, rules it, and every tunnel is packed with quilboar, their Death's Head priests and the beasts they keep.

Both factions have reasons to come. Two quests work for everyone, each side gets two of its own, and Horde characters pick up one more from Charlga's loot. The drops are strong for casters and healers, and there are good weapons for everyone else.

Razorfen Kraul is in the far south of The Barrens, a short ride north of the Great Lift down to Thousand Needles. Horde players fly to Camp Taurajo and ride south.

The Barrens is Horde territory, so Alliance groups cross hostile ground to get here. Travel together.

Four quests are picked up outside, so grab them before you travel. Three more start inside the Kraul.

Before you travel

• Blueleaf Tubers (both factions): take the Crate with Holes, the Snufflenose Command Stick and the Snufflenose Owner's Manual. In the Kraul, summon a Snufflenose Gopher from the crate and use the stick on it to make it search for tubers. Bring 6 Blueleaf Tubers, the stick and the crate to Mebok Mizzyrix in Ratchet.
• The Crone of the Kraul (Alliance): Razorflank's Medallion for Falfindel Waywarder in Thalanaar.
• A Vengeful Fate (Horde): Razorflank's Heart for Auld Stonespire in Thunder Bluff.
• Going, Going, Guano! (Horde): a pile of Kraul Guano for Master Apothecary Faranell in the Undercity.

Inside the Kraul

• Willix the Importer (both factions): escort Willix the Importer out of Razorfen Kraul.
• Mortality Wanes (Alliance): find Treshala's Pendant and return it to Treshala Fallowbrook in Darnassus.
• An Unholy Alliance (Horde): starts from the Small Scroll that Charlga Razorflank drops. Take it to Varimathras in the Undercity.

• The Kraul is a maze of thorn tunnels, and packs wait around every bend. Pull each group back to ground you've cleared so nothing else joins in.
• Quilboar packs mix fighters and casters with tamed beasts. The quilboar are humanoid, so Sap and Polymorph work on them. For the beasts, use Hibernate or Scare Beast.
• Kill Healing Wards on sight: for as long as they stand, they heal every quilboar around them.

The Kraul is generous to casters and healers. The standouts:

• Healers and casters: Death Speaker Scepter and cloth from Death Speaker Jargba, and Swinetusk Shank from Agathelos the Raging.
• Tanks: Tusken Helm from Overlord Ramtusk, a mail helm with Strength and 120 bonus armor.
• Melee: Corpsemaker from Ramtusk, Thornspike from Aggem Thorncurse and Pronged Reaver from Charlga Razorflank, a one-handed axe with Strength and Spirit.
• Leather: Ferine Leggings from Agathelos, leather legs with Strength and Agility.
• Charlga also drops Agamaggan's Clutch, a ring, and Heart of Agamaggan, a shield.

• Take the Blueleaf Tubers kit with you: the crate and the command stick go back to Ratchet with the tubers.
• Kill Healing Wards the moment they go down. A pack with a ward up takes far longer to kill.
• Clear the way out before you start Willix's escort. Every pack you've already killed is one less threat to him.
• Horde: loot the Small Scroll from Charlga. It starts An Unholy Alliance, and the chain continues on the Razorfen Downs quest list.
