Guide
How to leave Zephras Isle as a Skyborne in WoW Forever: the quest chain to the skyship, Dalaran and the portal to Stormwind or Mulgore and Orgrimmar, the tram to Ironforge, plus fast travel on the island with Blessing of Zephras.
Zephras Isle, the Skyborne starting zone, has no flight master and no boat. You leave it through a short quest chain at the end of the island's story: it puts you on a skycutter ship to the mainland and walks you through your new capitals.
Confront High Priestess Lorthuna in the Rohashi Spires (Valennia Stormfist sends you through the portal), report to Talaanis Shadowsong, and tell Elaadrin Evengale you are ready to leave.
The ship leaves from the dock on the south-east side of Valanaar, by the Alliance and Kirin Tor banners. In Dalaran, speak with Denaaris Stargale.
The portal arrives in the Mage Quarter. Walk to Stormwind Keep and report to Highlord Bolvar Fordragon.
Randal Emerson in Stormwind Keep explains the tour. Speak with King Magni Bronzebeard and High Tinker Mekkatorque in Ironforge, then Tyrande Whisperwind in Darnassus, and go back to Bolvar for your cloak. To reach Ironforge, take the Deeprun Tram from the Dwarven District in the north-east of Stormwind; it arrives in Tinker Town.
Bolvar's last quest sends you to Gryan Stoutmantle at Sentinel Hill.
The same confrontation with Lorthuna, then Talaanis Shadowsong, then Ayessa Dawnsinger when you are ready.
Ayessa sends you on the skycutter to Mulgore. Speak with Alaana Stormwalker where you land.
Make your way to Orgrimmar (through the Barrens, or the zeppelin and flight paths if you have them) and report to Thrall in the Valley of Wisdom.
Nazgrel in Grommash Hold explains the tour. Speak with Vol'jin, Cairne Bloodhoof in Thunder Bluff and Lady Sylvanas Windrunner in the Undercity, then go back to Thrall for your cloak.
Thrall's last quest sends you to Thork at the Crossroads.
The island is large and its quests are spread out. Three things help.
| What | How it helps |
|---|---|
| Blessing of Zephras | Small tornadoes around the island give it when you walk into them: 40% faster running for 5 minutes. Mobs hitting you do not end it, but attacking, an offensive spell or crowd control does. The tornadoes are not always there. |
| Walk on Air | Your racial: glide down from any height for 10 seconds, steering as you go. Jump off cliffs instead of walking around them. |
| Skysight (Windshaper) | 10% faster on foot and mounted for 30 seconds, or 15 minutes next to an elemental convergence. |
| Read Ley Line (High Order) | Doubles health and mana regeneration for 15 seconds, or 15 minutes next to a ley line: less time drinking. |
The first quests in Thendal Grove teach each racial: Falling With Style for Walk on Air, then Reading the Ley Lines (High Order) or The Gift of Skysight (Windshaper).
Finish the island first. Turn in everything on Zephras Isle before you take the ship: the chain leaves you on the mainland.
Keep the blessing up. Do not right-click enemies while Blessing of Zephras is up: starting an attack ends it.
Mages get a teleport at 30. High Order Mages learn Teleport: Darnassus at 30.
