Guide
Your trainer stops selling Cat Form in WoW Forever: at 20 you go to Moonglade for it. Every step with maps and /way coordinates, the Stormrage Barrow Dens relics, the five-piece snake look from Wailing Caverns and all druid form styles by race.
In Forever your trainer no longer sells . At level 20 you earn it with a quest instead. First stop is Moonglade and the Great Cat Spirit. Its errand: three relics, taken from the Stormrage Barrow Dens and carried home to your trainer. The trainer then teaches , , and in one go, for free.
You need Teleport: Moonglade (trained at 10) to get there quickly. The chain is five quests and about 2,900 experience.
Each druid race gets a separate version of the chain, but they all run through the same spots. Night elves start in Darnassus, tauren in Thunder Bluff. Skyborne druids use their faction's first and last quest (High Order from Darnassus, Windshapers from Thunder Bluff) and meet a different spirit, the Avatar of Saeyleenan.
Ding 20 and visit your trainer: Mathrengyl Bearwalker (Cenarion Enclave, Darnassus) or Turak Runetotem (Elder Rise, Thunder Bluff). Either one gives you The Great Cat Spirit. Cast Teleport: Moonglade right away.
Dendrite Starblaze stands in Nighthaven. From him, head south and up the hill overlooking the bridge, where the Great Cat Spirit sits. Skyborne druids go to the Avatar of Saeyleenan instead, just south of the twin bridges.
You find the door on the east side of the lake, a pagoda lantern to its left. Before entering, click the cat statue outside: its blessing gives you five minutes of stealth, and any fight breaks it.
Spirits patrol the dens and jump anyone they notice. Should one catch you despite the blessing, go Bear Form and kill it. The relics are close together; look for the Relic of the Silent Shadow beside a white cat statue.
Give the relics to the spirit, report back to Dendrite Starblaze, then take the last quest home to your trainer. He teaches you all four abilities on the spot.
| Ability | What it does |
|---|---|
| Cat Form | Cat Form: attack power, Polymorph immunity, and it frees you from snares when you shift. |
| Prowl | Prowl: stealth at 40% less speed, 10 second cooldown. |
| Claw | Claw: your combo point builder for now. |
| Rip | Rip: the bleed finisher. Much stronger than in Classic at rank 1. |
Next up: Shred at 22, Rake at 24 and Travel Form at 30. Talents for your cat are in the Feral guide, the Druid leveling guide and the talent calculator.
Want a snake instead of a cat? Farm Wailing Caverns for the five-piece Embrace of the Viper set and equip all of it. Nothing on the items mentions it. Only Cat Form changes: Bear Form stays a bear. The snake slithers when you prowl, swims like a snake, and still meows.
Every piece is leather and drops from a different source. Four are bound when picked up, so each druid farms their own; the gloves are bound when equipped and turn up on the auction house. Rogues want the set too: settle loot before the first pull.
| Pieces worn | Set bonus |
|---|---|
| 2 | +10 Intellect. |
| 3 | +10 Attack Power. |
| 4 | At 25% health or less, restore 100 health and mana over 5 seconds. Once every 5 minutes. |
| 5 | Your melee attacks can stun the target for 1 second (Dream Venom). It can proc twice in a row and interrupts casts. |
Darnassus and Thunder Bluff got barbershops on October 1, each one is staffed, and city guards can direct you there. If you liked the Classic bear and cat, those looks are still on the list.
| Form | Night Elf · Tauren · Skyborne |
|---|---|
| Bear (level 10) | Night Elf: brown, black, blue, white, purple. Tauren: brown, black, silver, yellow, white. Skyborne: blue, gray, green, white. |
| Aquatic (level 16) | Sea lion for every race. |
| Cat (level 20) | Night Elf: purple, black, violet, blue, white. Tauren: brown, black, white, red, yellow. Skyborne: blue, gray, green, white. |
| Travel (level 30) | Cheetah for everyone; Skyborne also get blue, gray, green and white. |
| Moonkin (talent) | Night Elf: purple, black, blue, brown, raven, red. Tauren and Skyborne: the classic moonkin. |
Group up at the relics. Relics are party loot. Five druids in a group loot each relic once instead of five times, and since October 1 everyone in the group reliably gets theirs.
Keep the stealth. The statue's blessing breaks when you fight. Walk around the spirits instead of pulling them.
Tiger's Fury is gone. Its replacement is Shifting Power, a row 4 Feral talent: spend mana in Cat Form to get 40 Energy back, on a 16 second cooldown.
The snake can vanish. The snake look comes from the server, not the game files, so Blizzard can change it without a patch.
October 1: group members no longer miss relics in The Great Cat Spirit and The Great Windborne Cat Spirit.
September 28: a click on a relic now starts a cast, so the long queues at the dens are gone.
October 1: replaced by the Shifting Power talent.
October 1: barbers in Darnassus and Thunder Bluff.
