Drakefire Amulet: Onyxia attunement

Helendis Riverhorn at Morgan's Vigil, in the south-east of Burning Steppes, wants the Black Dragonflight pushed back. Dragonkin Menace asks for broodlings, dragonspawn, wyrmkin and one Black Drake from the dragon lands of the Burning Steppes.

Six quests named The True Masters follow, and they send you on a round trip of the Alliance's south. Take Helendis's letter to Magistrate Solomon in Lakeshire, then carry Solomon's plea to Highlord Bolvar Fordragon in Stormwind Keep. Bolvar wants you to speak with Lady Katrana Prestor, who sits beside him, before he hands you his decree.

Bring the decree back to Solomon, who sends you on to Marshal Maxwell at Morgan's Vigil. Maxwell's last task is to find Ragged John in the Burning Steppes and hear what happened to Marshal Windsor.

Marshal Windsor takes you into Blackrock Depths, where you find Marshal Windsor in a cell. He has given up; Abandoned Hope carries that news back to Maxwell.

Then the hope returns. Enemies in Blackrock Depths drop A Crumpled Up Note, which starts A Crumpled Up Note: take it to Windsor in his cell. For A Shred of Hope you recover his lost information from Golem Lord Argelmach and General Angerforge.

Jail Break! is the jailbreak itself: escort Windsor through the prison as he takes back his gear and frees his friends, then report to Maxwell. Do the escort with a full group, and keep Windsor alive.

Stormwind Rendezvous sends you to Squire Rowe at the gates of Stormwind, who calls Windsor to meet you there. In The Great Masquerade you walk with Windsor through the city to Stormwind Keep and protect him on the way: bring a group for this one. The court's secret is out at the end of it.

The Dragon's Eye leaves you with a fragment of the Dragon's Eye and no idea who can restore it. The one who can is Haleh, high up in Mazthoril, the cave in Winterspring.

Haleh's last quest, Drakefire Amulet, sends you into Upper Blackrock Spire to take the blood of the black dragon champion from General Drakkisath. Kill him, loot the blood, and bring it back to Haleh in Winterspring for your amulet.

Warlord Goretooth in Kargath, in the west of Badlands, starts the chain with Blood and Thunder. His next order, Warlord's Command, sends you into Lower Blackrock Spire: kill Highlord Omokk, War Master Voone and Overlord Wyrmthalak, and bring back the Important Blackrock Documents.

With Eitrigg's Wisdom you report to Eitrigg in Orgrimmar, then to Thrall. The Warchief's answer is For The Horde!: kill Warchief Rend Blackhand in Upper Blackrock Spire and bring his head back to Orgrimmar.

After that, listen to Thrall in What the Wind Carries, and take The Champion of the Horde to find Rexxar. He walks the road through Desolace, between the Stonetalon Mountains and Feralas.

Rexxar gives you a letter for Myranda the Hag in the Western Plaguelands: The Testament of Rexxar. She can disguise you as a black dragon, but she needs twenty Black Dragonspawn Eye from Blackrock Spire's dragonspawn first (Oculus Illusions). In return you get the Amulet of Draconic Subversion.

Wear the amulet into Emberstrife's den in the Wyrmbog of Dustwallow Marsh and speak with Emberstrife (Emberstrife). Fooled by the disguise, he sets you a test: bring him the skulls of four drake champions. These are elites, so bring a group.

Emberstrife sees through you at last. Ascension... gives you the Dull Drakefire Amulet; take it back to Rexxar. His final task, Blood of the Black Dragon Champion, sends you into Upper Blackrock Spire for General Drakkisath's blood. Bring it to Rexxar and he gives you the Drakefire Amulet.
