Guide
Earn the Cozy Sleeping Bag in WoW Forever and sleep your way to a two-hour +3% XP buff. Here is the hidden chain that earns it, from Westfall or the Barrens through Stonetalon and Loch Modan up to Thoradin's Wall: every object on the map, /way coordinates and rewards.
The Cozy Sleeping Bag from Season of Discovery is back. Rest in it for three minutes and every kill and quest pays 3% more experience, for the next two hours. Nobody hands you the quest: you find a burned body in a field, read a note, and follow a trail of objects across both continents.
Alliance players start in Westfall, Horde players in the Barrens; everyone finishes on Thoradin's Wall. The first quest differs by faction, the rest is shared.
Horde players start with ... and that note you found in the Barrens instead and hand it in in Westfall.
Alliance: your start is Alexston Farmstead in Westfall. The Burned-Out Remains lie in its scorched field; click them. That starts ...and that note you found. Take the boat to Kalimdor and ride to the Field of Giants in the Barrens, below Camp Taurajo. Next to a tower that has burned out you find more remains and a Nailed Plank: hand the quest in at either.
Horde: the same two places the other way round.
The Nailed Plank also hands out the next quest, Stepping Stones.
Ride up the road past Sun Rock Retreat and turn off onto the path to its north-east; follow it west over the mountain until it drops you at an abandoned camp. The Pocket Litter lies on a box next to the tent. Clicking it finishes Stepping Stones and gives you Scramble. For Scramble, scale the hill to the north of the camp (you need one jump to cross a gap) and click the Mound of Dirt at the top: that hands in Scramble and gives you Wet Job.
Skip Rekindle if you are in a hurry. It is a side quest from the Firepit at the centre of the camp, done with the Simple Wood and Flint and Tinder you got from Stepping Stones, and the bag never asks for it. Alliance: the path starts within sight of the Horde guards of Sun Rock Retreat, so give them a wide berth.
Loch Modan's northern edge is the Stonewrought Dam, and its huge carved dwarf heads sit just below the walkway on the Wetlands side; jump down onto them and you land next to the Carved Figurine, which hands in Wet Job and gives you Eagle's Fist. Horde players: the dam is guarded.
Ride south-east from Durnholde Keep to Thoradin's Wall. On its Hillsbrad face a cart leans against the stones. Use the cart to jump up onto the wall, then go through the room built into it: the Messenger Bag, which completes Eagle's Fist, hangs to the right as you pass. Finish the chain on the Hastily Rolled-Up Satchel directly beneath it, and the bag is yours.

| ...and that note you found | Swiftness Potion and Lesser Troll's Blood Elixir. |

| Scramble | A choice of Silver Star, a Moonsight Rifle or a Precision Bow, plus Feathered Arrow, Exploding Shot and Student Fodder. |
| Wet Job | Hickory Pipe (sell it) and Rumsey Rum Light. |
| This Must Be The Place | The Cozy Sleeping Bag and more Student Fodder. |
| Fact | Detail |
|---|---|
| Unrolling | 15 seconds, standing still. |
| On the ground | 20 minutes. |
| Cooldown | 1 hour. |
| Bonus | Lying in the bag stacks Well-Rested once a minute, to a maximum of 3. Every stack is worth +1% experience from kills and quests. |
| Duration | 2 hours, twice the cooldown. |
| Student Fodder | Restores 900 mana, 50 rage or 100 energy, and heals 500 health up front plus 1,050 across 12 seconds. Usable every 5 minutes; stacks to 30. Forget the rested-XP trick from Season of Discovery; Forever removed it. |
Keep 3% up all the time. With a 2-hour buff on a 1-hour cooldown, you never need to drop below 3%: whenever the buff gets low, put the bag down and take your three-minute nap.
Do it between 20 and 30. The last three quests are level 32. At 20 to 25 you can do the whole chain while you travel between leveling zones, and the bonus pays off for every level after.
Two hours, not one. You may read that the bonus runs out after an hour. That hour is the bag's cooldown: in Forever the buff itself lasts two.
6 quests, levels 22–32, 10,950 XP in all.
Water spray dampens the air, the view is incredible.
