Overview
The Hall of Thanes is a dwarven hall beneath Old Ironforge, and its dead don't rest. Enraged apparitions and tormented souls fill it, the spirit of Faldrim Anvilmar waits to be put to rest, and Durgen Dirgehammer guards the end of the run.
It's a dungeon for your early teens, tied with Ragefire Chasm as the lowest-level dungeon in the game. For Alliance characters it's the first dungeon of the climb, a few levels before The Deadmines. Every quest objective is inside, and every boss has three blue items on its loot table.
Getting there
The Hall of Thanes lies beneath Ironforge, the dwarven capital in Dun Morogh. Reach Ironforge by road through Dun Morogh, or ride the Deeprun Tram from Stormwind City.
Ironforge is Alliance territory, and three of the dungeon's four quests are Alliance quests.

Quests
Every objective is inside the Hall of Thanes, so stack all four quests before you zone in. Faldrim Anvilmar counts for two of them.
- An Ancient Grudge: put the spirit of Faldrim Anvilmar to rest.
- The Restless Dead: kill 15 Enraged Apparitions and 10 Tormented Souls, and put Anvilmar's spirit to rest.
- Important Heirlooms: collect 8 Dwarven Heirlooms.
- Old Ironforge Incursion: claim the Head of Durgen Dirgehammer, the final boss.
