Merchant's Favor
Monsters drop supply crates. Fill one with the materials it asks for, hand it in at your faction's trade camp, and spend the Favor on new recipes, a pet, a toy and a mount. Anyone can do it from level 10, with any profession.

How it works
Step 1: Find a crate
Step 2: Fill it
Right-click it: it lists several bundles, and any one of them fills it. Click the stack you want to give in your bags; the whole amount has to be in one stack. You need no gathering profession: buy the materials if you like. What each crate takes.
Step 4: Spend the Favor
Every crafting profession has its own vendor at the camp, with recipes from 30 to 240 Favor and a title certificate at 300 skill. Others sell a pet, a toy license, a mount and the tabard. Favor cannot be sent to an alt: it belongs to the character who earned it. What they sell.

Crates: what they take and pay
What a crate pays
Crates come in two colours. White ones want raw materials such as herbs, ore and cloth; green ones want crafted goods such as bolts, bars and parts, and pay double.

What fills each crate
The end of a crate's name is its kind, the middle its tier. Any one line of its box fills it.

Craftsman's Writs
Monsters also drop sealed crafting orders. Opening one gives you the order and a quest: craft or buy the named item, then bring it to the customer, whose location appears on your map once the item is in your bags. The reward is reputation and a coin pouch, and you can repeat a given order once per day. Want a different order? Swap it for one of the same tier with a Forger’s Quill, sold by the Uncertified Scribe.

Recipes need no reputation. It unlocks the Advertising License Application at Honored and the Azeroth Commerce Authority Tabard at Exalted. You start at Neutral.
