Overview
Razorfen Downs is the quilboar's capital, grown from the same giant thorns as Razorfen Kraul, and the Scourge has taken it. The lich Amnennar the Coldbringer rules the Downs with the Death's Head quilboar who joined him, and the brambles are full of undead quilboar, skeletons and ghouls.
Two events shape the run: the gong that calls Tuten'kash, and Belnistrasz's ritual at the quilboar idol. Nearly everything inside is undead, with the Death's Head casters as the living exception, so bring crowd control that works on the dead and someone who can remove curses.
Both factions have quests here, and each side has one that asks for Amnennar himself. His loot table covers every armor type, which makes the last fight the one everyone waits for.
Getting there
Razorfen Downs sits on the southern edge of The Barrens, east of the Great Lift, where the Barrens meet Thousand Needles. Horde players fly to Camp Taurajo and ride south. Myriam Moonsinger waits near the entrance with A Host of Evil.
The Barrens is Horde territory, so Alliance groups cross hostile ground to get here. Travel together.

Quests
Pick up your faction's Amnennar quest before you travel, along with An Unholy Alliance if you're Horde. A Host of Evil starts at the entrance, and Belnistrasz's two quests start inside.
Before you travel
- Bring the Light (Alliance): slay Amnennar the Coldbringer for Archbishop Benedictus.
- Bring the End (Horde): kill Amnennar the Coldbringer and bring his skull to Andrew Brownell.
- An Unholy Alliance and An Unholy Alliance (Horde): An Unholy Alliance comes in two parts. Take the Small Scroll from Charlga Razorflank in Razorfen Kraul to Varimathras in the Undercity, then bring him Ambassador Malcin's head.
At the Downs
- A Host of Evil (both factions): kill 8 Razorfen Battleguards, 8 Razorfen Thornweavers and 8 Death's Head Cultists, then return to Myriam Moonsinger near the entrance. These quilboar hold the approach outside the portal, so finish it before you zone in.
- Scourge of the Downs (both factions): agree to aid Belnistrasz, then speak with him again and hand back the Oathstone he gave you.
- Extinguishing the Idol (both factions): escort Belnistrasz to the quilboar's idol and protect him while his ritual shuts it down. The idol event is covered under Trash and pulls.

Bosses
Tuten'kash doesn't wait for you: you call him with the gong. Each strike brings a wave: Tomb Fiends first, then Tomb Reavers, then Tuten'kash himself. Clear each wave before you strike again.
He puts Curse of Tuten'kash on everyone near him. It slows casting and attack speed and lasts long after the fight, so remove it. His Carapace of Tuten'kash is a plate chest that requires level 40: bank it if you can't wear it yet.

Glutton is an undead brute. His Glutton's Cleaver is a one-handed axe whose hits can make the target bleed.

Plaguemaw is a rotting quilboar elite. Kill him for Plaguerot Sprig, a wand only Mages can use.

Ragglesnout
Ragglesnout is a rare quilboar elite, so he isn't there every run. When he is, kill him for X'caliboar, a two-handed sword.
The lich waits at the end of the Downs. Partway through the fight he summons Frost Spectres: they aren't elite, so AoE or burst them down, then go back to Amnennar. His Amnennar's Wrath knocks players back, so tank him with your back to a wall.
His skull completes Bring the End for Horde, and his death completes Bring the Light for Alliance.

Trash and pulls
- Nearly everything inside is undead: skeletons, ghouls, spirits and withered quilboar. Shackle Undead and Turn Undead are your main crowd control.
- The Death's Head Geomancers and Necromancers are the living exception, and they're casters. Kill them first, or take them out of the pull with Sap or Polymorph.
The idol event
Belnistrasz leads you to the quilboar's idol and starts his ritual, and enemies attack in waves while he works. Clear the ground around the idol before you start, keep every attacker off him, and keep the group together. He isn't elite, so anything that reaches him has to die fast.
Loot
Amnennar drops a piece for every armor type plus a dagger, so he's the boss everyone waits for. The standouts:
- Plate: Carapace of Tuten'kash from Tuten'kash and Icemetal Barbute from Amnennar. Both require level 40, so bank them.
- Mail: Deathchill Armor from Amnennar, a chest with Spirit and Intellect.
- Leather: Bonefingers from Amnennar and Fleshhide Shoulders from Glutton.
- Cloth: Robes of the Lich from Amnennar, with Intellect and Stamina, and Deathmage Sash from Mordresh Fire Eye.
- Weapons: Coldrage Dagger from Amnennar, whose hits can launch a slowing frost bolt, Glutton's Cleaver from Glutton, X'caliboar from Ragglesnout and Plaguerot Sprig, a Mage-only wand, from Plaguemaw the Rotting.

Tips
- Undead crowd control is your main tool: Shackle Undead and Turn Undead handle nearly every pack. Sap or Polymorph covers the Death's Head casters.
- Bring someone who removes curses for Tuten'kash.
- Strike the gong only when the whole group is ready. Every strike brings a wave.
- Clear the ground around the idol before you start Belnistrasz's ritual.
- Tank Amnennar with your back to a wall, and kill his Frost Spectres the moment they appear.
